Thank you for joining us and supporting Cowboys for Codi. This organization is dedicated to helping the youth of North Texas through scholarships and by increasing awareness of the inherent risks of drinking and driving.

We are dedicated to increasing our presence in the scholastic arena as well as rodeo arena. Organizers are proud to have awarded many scholarships to the young men and women of North Texas. We believe that everyone that participates in our events takes away a renewed appreciation of the phrase, "Don't Drink and Drive".

A drunk driver killed Codi Smith in August, 1996. By the young age of 16 she already had a great sense of responsibility and vision. She inspired and encouraged many to follow their dreams and to work hard to accomplish great things. Unfortunately, Codi's story is sadly repeated everyday in newspapers across the country - only different names appear under each headline. Our mission is to keep the story of Codi's life and untimely death alive as a reminder that each of us has a responsibility to one another. "Save a life - don't drink and drive."
